When I wrote the book Underdogma, I reached out to a lot of people for interviews. Some never responded, some said no, and many said yes. During my five years of research, I noticed a pattern: the greats would respond more quickly and generously than the not-so- greats. Charles Krauthammer, Ambassador John Bolton, Walter E. Williams, Hillsdale College president Larry Arnn, Hugh Hewitt, Tony Robbins and many others.
Andrew Breitbart responded instantly and generously.
Minutes after I sent him an e-mail, he was on the phone with me, doing an interview. He gave long, detailed answers and offered to stay longer and answer even more questions. In the end, I politely thanked him for his time, because he gave me more than I could have expected.
That was the hallmark of Andrew Breitbart. He gave more than we could have expected, and he was the tip of the spear for many of the battles that mean so much to us. We will all miss him.
